Our first wine for sale is Corsico Rosso.
This wine has been produced in a limited number of samples from selected grapes.
The grapes come from our first vineyard (‘the old one’) exposed to the south and well ventilated, which finds the optimal conditions right on our beautiful hill in Valenza.
Made from grapes harvested in a year that was both rainy and hot.
Bottles numbered and signed by hand.
Goes well with red meats and mature cheese.

To be enjoyed at 18-20°C.

Clayey, marly and compact soil. Naturalmente votato alla coltivazione della vite.
Planting Layout: 2,60 m x 0,90 m
Each vine has plenty of space for greater well-being and better quality of the grapes produced at the expense of quantity
Exposure: South
Pruning: Guyot (tot. manual)
Fertilisation:  natural (mature) in autumn and secondary with foliar in spring
Soil Tillage: chopping (as Mother Nature intended) and inter-row tilling to avoid weeding
Other tasks: chequering, chaffing, aeration etc. all carried out strictly by hand

Harvest of Corsico Rosso

Pre-selection: pre-selection before harvesting, discarded grapes are used for other purposes (jam or vinegar, for own use).
Harvesting: grapes harvested BY HAND and then further sorted.
Harvesting during the coolest hours of the day, to ensure low fermentation, directly into boxes or vats, to avoid crushing the stalks.

 Yield: low

Aging: steel cask 12 months, subsequent refinement in the bottle for at least 6 months.
